Hello and Welcome to the
Denholm Village website.. |
 |
Denholm Village is situated in the Scottish Borders some 50 miles south of Edinburgh, and is 16 miles from the Scotland/England border at Carter Bar.
Hawick is the nearest large town which is 5 miles to the west and Jedburgh lies 6 miles to the east. Denholm is laid around two Greens, with friendly shops and pubs and a Post Office. It lies within the ancient parish of Cavers.
Denholm, today, is a
quiet village with two pubs, a Post Office,
a Butcher, a general store, a
hairdresser and a garage. It has about 350
houses and is expanding all the time with
new developments springing up on the
outskirts of the village.
June 20th 2010:
49th
Annual Jimmie Guthrie Memorial Run for Vintage
Cars & Motor Cycles.
A
beautiful summers day saw the crowds out in
force to enjoy the delights on the village
Green. The car boots were bursting and the turn
out of vintage vehicles was a fabulous sight to
behold..
